My name is Ahmad Daas. I am from Dublin, Ohio. I was born in Columbus, but when I was about 11 I moved to Dublin. I moved here in 6th grade and I went to Dublin Coffman high school. I played basketball up to my sophomore year, and ran track all four years. I hope to major in Criminal Justice  and be in homeland security when I'm older.

When I first knew that we had to type a poem, I thought it would be easy. When I sat down to actually type it, I had a hard time thinking of what to type. The challenges to me where what to talk about and the suggestions you gave us were hard to think of. Every time i put something down it either didn't sound right or I didn't like it.Overall, I liked my poem, I think that it was the best that I could think of.

  My Cousin

You used to challenge me
with everything we did.
From the toys we got
To the sports we played.
Backyard football was our favorite
like the time you caught it over me
You ran for the touchdown
with so much joy.

I remember the jokes you used to make
It made everyone laugh,
Such as the "british voices" you used to say.
You were never shy,
And you were always brave.
If I could see you one more time
I would say that
I love you and I will never forget about you.

  1. This is a well written poem. It flows well, and gives good imagery. It feels nostalgic at the same time too. Good job
